Life can get so serious that we get overwhelmed by the responsibilities daily laid at out feet. The commitment to show up, deliver, exceed expectations and be better. It can be overwhelming.

The soul of the world
There’s a certain kind of calm that embraces you in nature.
Perhaps it is the acknowledgement of your smallness in the vast universe while staring at the night sky, knowing that being a part of something so beautiful makes you beautiful.
I’ll pray for you
History will forever remember us.
Our story will be engraved in the hearts of romantics and lovers of aesthetics. We were, for the briefest of time, eternity. Time, as short as it was with you, was infinite. And every day together could never have been better.
Shoot for the moon
“Let’s shoot for the moon…”
We can. All our lives, we have trained for that goal. And as we humbly stand at this point in time, all our dreams and visions bared before the world, our insecurities and fears, holding us down no more, we take a look at the sky. Our feeble abilities dwarfed by awaiting glory, and we steady our gaze.
The Oppressed
Man, you are free to choose. But first I shall take away your freedom Then your power to discern will be beaten down Till only one thing is on your mind: Not to be free to choose, But to live long enough To have those choices again. You shall embark on a primitive journey Where oppression is what you know And how embracing it has kept you here- This long, Then I shall ask of you what matters most: Living in the shackles of ignorance or Stepping out into the wild. It is a scary thing, this freedom. It is responsibility to think, live and make life what you would have it be, on your own terms. It is refusing the status quo that has kept everything in check and left the scales on our eyes. It is choosing to go because you know priorities matter "Don't make me fat in ignorance," you say- Because responsibility is hard but ignorant choice is bad. Only after looking beyond, taking control and accepting the burden of your choice do you realise that you can have both, but only one way, You have a choice, just one. The other no matter how appealing is death.
Prompt: The oppressed
The Dawn
Beautiful awakening and quiet reprieve. Of seasons and times unknown save for the lightening of the morning sky. History has taught you to watch in silence because in watching, you see.
And a sight such as this is the beginning of smooth sails through an obstacle-ridden day.
Jay’s Paradise
Jay was used to the drama by now. It was the one thing he could count on to never be missing in his life. He didn’t hate it nor did he love it; he had just accepted it for what it was.
Perhaps his ability to dream helped a bit. He had been a Joseph since his childhood days and his happy place had remained as lovely and magical as the first time he visited it.
