Inches In A Mile

Progress is as simple as an inch in a mile. It’s not leaps, not at first. It the little effort put in at being better at something consecutively, so that that effort builds up and you don’t have to start from scratch each time.

It is not lax, no. Progress isn’t about choosing to do it when it’s convenient for you. It’s about choosing a time, convenient or not, and working.

It takes discipline. It takes effort, no matter how little. But effort builds with discipline and consistency.

And that’s the advantage of inches in a mile; it’s no longer ‘just inches’, but a bundle of inches, thanks to the compounding effect.

So this isn’t really about progress, but about consistency and discipline. Progress is a byproduct.
